What does a Chartered Accountant (CA) do?

  • Audit company accounts
  • Prepare and file tax returns
  • Advise on finance, GST and company law
  • Work in practice or as a finance manager in companies

What to study

  • After 12th (any stream; commerce is usual): CA Foundation
  • Then CA Intermediate, articleship training and CA Final
  • Graduates can enter directly at Intermediate under ICAI rules
